Unfortunately, I haven't had any time to work in any of my gardens since starting the edging in the vegetable garden.  However, this coming weekend is the Victoria Day long weekend here, for many people that means camping or BBQs, for me, it means gardening!  I have a list a mile long of gardening tasks that I want to complete, so I hope that mother nature co-operates!

May 7/8 - Flower Gardens

I the last couple weekends were spend digging extras and dividing plants that have gotten too big for the New Moon Rabbit Rescue Garage Sale.  I managed to have about 100 plants for them!

May 7/8 - Vegetable Garden

Again, I am a week late with this post, but last weekend, I spent a lot of time starting to get the vegetable garden ready for spring planting.

I dug out all the weeds that had come up, straightened the edges, Henry tilled it and we put plastic edging around three sides of it.  The edging will go around all of it, but we ran out!

April 30/May1

Spent lots of time in the flower gardens last weekend, dividing plants and digging babies for New Moon Rabbit Rescue Garage, Bake and Plant Sale.  It is amazing how much you can dig and divide and hardly tell that you've taken anything!

Alliums, just starting to grow, this was the patch of escaping bulbs, earlier in the spring!

April 23/24

Still not a whole lot to do but look at my flower beds slowly springing back to life.  I did end up with more crocuses than I thought I would have given how slow they were to come up, but I didn't have as many as I planted, so I will have to add some more in the fall.  Daffodils and tulips aren't blooming yet, but they are up and starting to bud.  Spring is an exciting time in a flower garden.

I have lots of baby clematis, many of which will be dug for a charity plant sale.

A ground cover sedum, I love the pink against the still brown growth from last year.

Hen and Chicken with many chicks!

A very early appearance of an asiatic lily!

Five of the six hyacinths that I planed in the fall have made an appearance.

Soon I will have tulips!

And daffodils too!
